The LGBT Democratic Club of Tompkins County is open to registered Democrats who share the goals of the group and want to support full inclusion of the LGBT community within the broader culture.
Our mission is to secure for all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people the equal human and civil rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Constitution of the United States, to foster the ideals of the Democratic Party and to contribute to the Party’s growth and influence.
Rainbow Threads is a blog for people interested in the issues and goals of the LGBT Democratic Club of Tompkins County. Discussions are encouraged, yet need to reflect well reasoned and respectful discourse, or tasteful hilarity especially in the fun category. Join in on a topic or create your own!
What is in a name? Rainbow Threads is derived from the bulletin board notion that an original post with all its comments is called a thread. Hopefully there will be many threads posted here in all the colors of our LGBT rainbow.
Please click on the “Register” link and add yourself as a blogger. Once you log in you may select “Dashboard,” if that is not already your top page, to initiate a post on a new topic. If you see a posting someone else started, select that and send a reply. It is that easy. On the page appearing after you log in are two buttons near the top left, “Dashboard” and “Visit Site.” They make switching back and fourth easy.
